De acuerdo a los acontecimientos de ayer sábado, México permanece como una posibilidad, y tomarían una decisión este domingo tras una consulta con el presidente Andrés López Obrador.
Pero, la Confederación de Béisbol del Caribe, el comisionado Juan Puello Herrera, el Ministro de Deportes Danilo Díaz y el presidente de Lidom Vitelio Mejía, han encaminado distintas gestiones en las últimas horas para salvar la serie que eventualmente fracasó en Barquisimeto, Venezuela.
Informes dados a Listín Diario en forma discrecional indican que el trío de funcionarios han estado trabajando en la elaboración de un presupuesto y la ubicación de los fondos indispensables.
Han tenido acercamiento con distintos organismos del Gobierno, para buscar exoneraciones o facilidades en los aspectos de estadio, luz y servicio de transporte a través de la OMSA.
Este domingo se tiene pautado presentarle el caso al presidente Danilo Medina, acompañado de un presupuesto que sería el aporte económico del Gobierno.
Si los mexicanos desestiman el montaje, Santo Domingo estaría en disposición de hacerlo, lo cual sería anunciado este mismo domingo o este lunes 28.
Las fuentes señalaron que el evento sería movido del 4 al 9 de febrero, en lugar del día 2 al 8, como era lo original.
