El Sistema Nacional de Atención a Emergencias 9-1-1 llega a Monseñor Nouel, alcanzando los municipios Bonao, Villa Altagracia, Palenque y Yaguate.
El acto fue encabezado por el presidente Danilo Medina.
Al presidir el discurso central, el ministro de la Presidencia, Gustavo Montalvo, explicó que el sistema 911 llega a Monseñor Nouel con personal y equipo suficiente para mantener un buen servicio en la comunidad.
Dijo que la expansión en 2018 inició en la provincia Peravia y pronto llegará también La Romana, gracias al trabajo sincronizado de múltiples instituciones.
Agregó que en los cuatro años que tiene el sistema se han recibido 18 millones 5 mil 377 llamadas y se atendieron 1 millón 431 mil 960 situaciones de emergencia.
Asimismo, el senador por Monseñor Nouel, Félix Nova, dijo que «el sistema 911 toca tres cosas fundamentales del ser humano: cuida la vida, cuida la gente y cuida las propiedades».
“He visto enfermos salir montados en motores, ahora tendremos acceso a ambulancias, porque el Sistema 911 cuida la vida”, expresó el senador.
