Obtener el favor electoral de 2,507,297 ciudadanos es un valor que no tiene precio para cualquier político. Lo que sí cuesta son las campañas que los diferentes partidos deben desarrollar para competir por la gracia de los electores.
En el caso del presidente Luis Abinader, ratificado por con el 57.44 % de los votos válidos emitidos el pasado 19 de mayo, su proceso de propaganda y proselitismo costó 777,601,487.92 pesos, que abarcan 230 operaciones, de acuerdo con el Panel de Fiscalización Electoral de la Junta Central Electoral (JCE).
Los topes de las candidaturas presidenciales para las elecciones del pasado 19 de mayo eran de 997,829,630 pesos, por lo que el protagonista de la boleta al Ejecutivo del Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) respetó el límite con una holgura de 220,228,142.08 pesos.
