Presidente Abinader asigna RD$ 2 mil millones adicionales a presupuesto 2023 JCE; monto representa 35% más del presupuesto total de la Junta para el año 2019
Presidente Abinader buscará consenso para aprobar Leyes de Régimen Electoral y de Partidos Políticos en menor tiempo posible
Santo Domingo, R.D. –
Al término de una reunión entre el presidente Luis Abinader y los miembros del pleno de la Junta Central Electoral, el vocero de la Presidencia, Homero Figueroa, informó que el mandatario asignará un total de 2 mil millones de pesos adicionales al presupuesto de dicha institución para este 2023.
Figueroa indicó que esta decisión refuerza el compromiso asumido por la gestión del Presidente Abinader para fortalecer la institucionalidad democrática y puntualizó que la realización de las elecciones no está en riesgo.
El monto asignado representa un incremento del 35% del presupuesto total de la Junta para el año 2019.
De su lado, el presidente de la Junta Central Electoral, Román Jáquez Liranzo, señaló que de los 2 mil millones de pesos adicionales, 1,500 millones serán utilizados para el manejo de los procesos electorales como proyectos de compras, contrataciones y adquisiciones para las primarias y las elecciones de 2024.
En tanto, 500 millones serán acreditados para compensar el déficit de 2022.
Esto representa un total de 4,500 millones de pesos para el presupuesto de la Junta Central Electoral en este 2023.
Jáquez Liranzo también informó de la digitalización del registro civil para eliminar trabas burocráticas y que el país cuente con una ley moderna y referente para la región.
En otro orden, el vocero y director de Estrategia y Comunicación señaló que el gobierno continúa trabajando para que el país cuente con un marco regulatorio electoral adecuado.
Para estos fines, el gobierno y la JCE encaminan “un esfuerzo importante entre todas las fuerzas políticas del país, para que en el menor tiempo posible, sean aprobados de manera consensuada, los proyectos de Ley de Régimen Electoral y de la Ley de Partidos Políticos, que como todos saben, se encuentra en estos momentos en manos de una comisión especial en la Cámara de Diputados”.
También estuvieron presentes, los miembros titulares, Rafael Armando Vallejo Santelises, Dolores Altagracia Fernández Sánchez, Samir Rafael Chami Isa y el consultor jurídico del Poder Ejecutivo, Antoliano Peralta.
