Leyba critica incapacidad del gobierno para invertir el 4% a la Educación

El dirigente peledeísta Jhovanny Leyba criticó este jueves la incapacidad del gobierno de Luis Abinader para invertir el 4% a la Educación en momentos que los propios distritos escolares reportan una serie de necesidades, como es el caso de San Juan que presenta un déficit de butacas.
«Esos recursos podrían ser invertidos en 4,700 aulas levantadas por las pasadas autoridades y que pese a estar por encima del 70 por ciento en construcción, permanecen intactas a dos años del actual gobierno», sugirió el secretario de Industria, Comercio y Mipymes del Partido de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD).
El también precandidato a la Alcadía del Distrito Nacional por el PLD consideró que el de Luis Abinader es un gobierno con prioridades alejadas de las necesidades de los pobres y la clase media. «Un gobierno para unos pocos en detrimento de las grandes mayorías», afirmó.
Criticó la incapacidad del Ministerio de Hacienda y del MINERD de formular un verdadero plan de inversión y de ejecutar lo asignado, al tiempo que rechazó los intentos de las autoridades gubernamentales de reducir la asignación de Educación en el presupuesto complementario.
«La conquista del 4% del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) para el sector educación fue un logro de los dominicanos y dominicanas, que el expresidente Danilo Medina ejecutó en sus ocho años de revolución educativa, y que incluyó la tanda extendida y el desarrollo de capacidades del personal docente”, sostuvo en rueda de prensa.
Leyba calificó de desafortunadas las declaraciones de representantes del gobierno de que tomarían recursos del presupuesto de 4% destinado a Educación, para aumentar unos 1,831 millones de pesos a la publicidad de la Presidencia de la República con fines reeleccionistas.
Señaló que la propuesta de recorte es violatoria de la Constitución de República Dominicana y a las leyes General de Educación, de Estrategia Nacional de Desarrollo y del Pacto Educativo firmado por propio presidente Luis Abinader en abril de 2014.
Advirtió que desde su partido se mantendrá atento, pendiente y en pie de lucha, y defenderá en todos los escenarios esa partida de recursos sagrada en favor de los sectores más carenciados, vulnerables, de todos y todas los dominicanos y dominicanas.
