Fuerza del Pueblo está de duelo por fallecimiento de Domingo Jiménez

El secretario general de la Fuerza del Pueblo expresó que esa organización está de duelo por fallecimiento de Domingo Jiménez. La muerte del dirigente- fundador de dicho partido se produjo la tarde de este jueves en Estados Unidos y fue confirmada por su hijo Ernesto Jiménez a través de Twitter.
En declaraciones ofrecidas, Antonio Florián (Peñita), valoró el papel estelar que jugó Domingo Jiménez en la conformación de la Fuerza del Pueblo. Dijo que en momentos difíciles en el escenario político nacional fue de los valientes que apostó por la democracia.
El presidente de la Fuerza del Pueblo, Leonel Fernández, también expresó su dolor por la partida física de quien definió como su compañero de partido y amigo.
«Paso por el profundo pesar de despedir a un compañero y gran amigo de mil batallas, @domingojimenez, extraordinario ser humano, leal y firme a sus principios. Sentido pésame a sus hijos, amigos y seres queridos. Te extrañaremos todos los días, apreciado Domingo. Descansa en paz», escribió Fernández en su cuenta de Twitter.
Peñita dijo que todavía no hay detalles de cuándo será trasladado el féretro al país para realizar las honras fúnebres. Más adelante se darán las informaciones para que todo el pueblo dominicano pueda despedir a un hombre que siempre trabajó por los mejores intereses de su país.
