El Jugador de la NFL Bayron Matos y Fundación GBC entregan útiles escolares y juguetes a niños de escasos recursos en Los Mina, SDE

El jugador dominicano de la Liga Nacional de Fútbol Americano (NFL), Bayron Matos y la Fundación GBC, entregaron útiles escolares y juguetes a cientos de niños de escasos recursos del sector Los Mina, en Santo Domingo Este.
La entrega fue encabezada por el deportista junto al presidente de la Fundación GBC Farmacias, Raymond Rodríguez, quienes resaltaron que el objetivo de esta jornada social es llevar su mano solidaria a los niños para garantizar que puedan asistir a recibir el pan de la enseñanza, en el próximo año escolar que inicia el 26 de agosto.
“Gracias a Dios que me bendijo y ahora puedo bendecir a otras personas, no solo con útiles escolares y juguetes, seleccioné a dos jóvenes para darles becas para que estudien en un colegio privado del país y puedan superarse. Mi exhortación a los jóvenes es mucho estudio, trabajo y que se pongan en manos de Dios”, expresó Bayron Matos.
El deportista agradeció el apoyo de los peloteros David Ortiz, Mel Rojas, la Fundación GBC, el rapero Kiko el Crazy y la diputada Juliana O’Neal, y subrayó que continuará realizando esta labor de donación de útiles escolares cada año en su natal sector de Los Mina, bajo el lema “back to school”.
En tanto, Raymond Rodríguez Jr., presidente de la Fundación GBC expresó su satisfacción al contribuir para que los estudiantes vulnerables puedan asistir a la escuela.
“Como fundación GBC nos sentimos complacidos de apoyar este tipo de actividad en beneficio de los niños estudiantes, que hoy estamos asistiendo para un nuevo inicio de clases, también felicitar a Bayron por este gran paso en su carrera deportiva, porque llegar a jugar en la NFL es una gran inspiración para la juventud dominicana, te deseo éxitos en la temporada que inicia próximamente”, manifestó Rodríguez.
En el evento realizado este viernes en el Club Deportivo y Cultural 29 de Junio (PIDOCA) de Los Mina, más de 150 niños recibieron mochilas conteniendo mascotas, lápices, sacapuntas y otros útiles escolares, juguetes y almuerzo.
