Comedores Económicos y Lotería Nacional firman acuerdo para operar comedor modelo
SANTO DOMINGO, RD.– Las administraciones generales de los Comedores Económicos del Estado Dominicano y la Lotería Nacional firmaron un acuerdo de colaboración interinstitucional, para trabajar de manera conjunta en la habilitación y operación de un nuevo comedor modelo tipo restaurant, en la primera planta de la institución.
El acuerdo fue firmado por el licenciado Nicolás Calderón, director general de los Comedores Económicos del Estado y el doctor José Francisco Peña Tavàrez, administrador general de la Lotería Nacional.
Peña Tavárez destacó la importancia del acuerdo, porque éste vendría atender las necesidades alimentarias de miles de empleados públicos y privados que trabajan en las instituciones del Centro de los Héroes (La Feria, lo que permitirá un ahorro significativo de su presupuesto mensual dedicado al almuerzo.
“El moderno comedor operará el área de la cafetería, la cual será sometida a una ampliación estructural, contará con equipos modernos y facilidades para que los empleados puedan trabajar cómodos y seguros”, dijo Peña Tavárez.
De su parte Calderón, sostuvo que esta alianza estratégica entre ambas instituciones estatales se inscribe dentro de la política social del Gobierno que encabeza el presidente de la República, licenciado Danilo Medina, de ampliar la cobertura alimentaria con el objetivo de lograr al 2030 la erradicación del hambre en la República Dominicana.
Dijo que el Comedor tendrá una capacidad productora de 25 mil raciones cocidas diarias con los más altos estándares de calidad y a un precio de 25 pesos la ración. En la estructura estará capacitada para atender hasta 100 personas debidamente sentadas.
Calderón manifestó que, además de los servidores y empleados públicos y los usuarios de los servicios de las instituciones de la zona, también se beneficiarán con este nuevo centro de producción de alimentos los sectores del entorno.
Calderón y Tavarez destacaron la importancia de este comedor que funcionará como un restaurant de primera, supliendo alimentos con los más altos estándares de calidad y a precios económicos, con lo que el Gobierno garantizará el acceso a las personas de escasos recursos económicos.
Sobre el acuerdo
El acuerdo establece que los Comedores Económicos del Estado se comprometen con la designación de todo personal necesario para la operación de este nuevo centro de expendio de alimentos y aportar o vender las raciones alimenticias que consuma el personal de la Lotería Nacional.
Así mismo, aportar una cantidad de raciones crudas que serán distribuidas entre su personal de menores ingresos para mejorar sus condiciones de vida.
La nueva estructura estará habilitada con acondicionador de aire central y confortable mobiliario; operará con las mismas características de los Comedores Económicos del Estado, calidad e higiene en la preparación de los alimentos y el mismo precio que se vende en todas nuestras instalaciones a nivel nacional.
Durante la firma acompañaron a Calderón el gerente Financiero, José Torres; el consultor Jurídico, Julio Gómez Altamirano; el chef Wandy Robles, Coordinador de Operaciones de Alimentos, y Ana Teresa Cuevas, Encargada de Producción.
Mientras que por la Lotería, además de Tavarez, asistieron Marcos Tavarez, Administrativo; Ignacio Rodríguez, Inspector General, y Manuel Escoto, Jurídico.
