Murió la mañana del pasado sábado el experimentado urólogo dominicano José R. Yunén Brugal, a la edad de 83 años, en su residencia del sector Miraflores.
El doctor Yunén Brugal, quien por más de 50 años ejerció la medicina haciendo importantes aportes al país en el área, hizo historia al realizar el primer trasplante de riñón en el país en octubre de 1970.
La información sobre su fallecimiento la ofreció su hijo, el también doctor José Rafael Yunén, quien dijo que los restos de su padre serán expuestos en la funeraria Blandino de la Abraham Lincoln a partir de las 8:00 de la noche de este sábado.
José R. Yunén Brugal, actualmente era el presidente del Grupo Médico Yunén.
Le sobreviven su esposa, Antonia; y sus hijos José Rafael y Yurilyn; Ramón Antonio y Josefina, y Maritza.
