Taveras Guzmán afirma reelección sería “caos”, traería “crisis económica” y un “baño de sangre” en el País

Antonio Taveras Guzmán, expresidente de la Asociación de Empresas Industriales de Herrera, afirmó este viernes que un intento de reelección presidencial sería “un caos” que convertiría al presidente Danilo Medina en “ilegítimo”, porque solo comprando legisladores podría modificarse la Constitución.
Entrevistado en el “El Nuevo Diario en la Tarde”, por “El Nuevo Diario TV”, advirtió de “una posible crisis política y social”, que también podría ser “económica”, por la “imposibilidad del pago de la deuda” externa a partir de 2020. También aseguró que la economía dominicana tendría que someterse a severos ajustes financieros que producirían inconformidades de tal magnitud, que hasta podrían llegar a “un baño de sangre”.
El dirigente empresarial alegó que sería una “vergüenza” y una “locura” que cualquier mandatario pretenda cambiar la Constitución, lo cual “enviaría una mala señal a los inversionistas”, porque así como cambia “la Constitución también podrían cambiar otras normas para favorecer a un grupo económico”.
Ante esa perspectiva, declaró que decidió dar “un paso al frente” para combatir la corrupción, la falta de transparencia pública y la confabulación entre “una pequeña élite empresarial y una élite política” que “asaltan al país”.
