Primera dama y Ministro Educación, asisten a eucaristía por 40 años de ordenación de monseñor Benito Ángeles e inauguración oficinas Vicaría Episcopal, SDE.
La primera dama de la República, Cándida Montilla de Medina, participó este sábado en la eucaristía por los 40 años de ordenación sacerdotal de monseñor Ramón Benito Ángeles Fernández, obispo auxiliar y vicario episcopal de Santo Domingo Este.
La misa estuvo presidida por el arzobispo de Santo Domingo, monseñor Francisco Ozoria.
Fue oficiada en la parroquia Stella Maris del reparto Los Tres Ojos de esta demarcación, por monseñor Ángeles Fernández, con la homilía del obispo de la diócesis de Mao-Monte Cristi y presidente de la Conferencia del Episcopado Dominicano, monseñor Diómedes Espinal de León.
Segundo aniversariode Vicaría Episcopal
La convocatoria incluyó la celebración del segundo aniversario de la creación de la Vicaría Episcopal e inauguración de sus oficinas para servicios pastorales.
Monseñor Ozoria bendijo la obra y el corte de cinta estuvo a cargo de la primera dama de la República.
Al dar la bienvenida a la eucaristía, monseñor Ángeles Fernández agradeció a los presentes por acompañarles en la celebración de sus 40 años de su vida pastoral.
Fidelidad, alegría y amor
Durante la homilía, monseñor Espinal De León resaltó los valores y formación pastoral de Ángeles Fernández, a quien definió como un hombre humilde que ha sabido llevar su misión con humildad, sencillez, fidelidad, alegría y amor.
“Agradecemos a Dios y a la Virgen María por darle la fortaleza humana y espiritual para que permanezca con total fidelidad y humildad en su servicio apostólico” agregó Espinal De León.
Vicaría Episcopal de Santo Domingo Este
La Vicaría de Santo Domingo Este fue creada el 11 de diciembre de 2016. Su jurisdicción abarca más de un millón 200 mil habitantes, incluyendo los municipios Guerra y Boca Chica, así como los sectores de Los Mina, San Isidro, Villa Duarte, Las Américas y Oriental Sur.
Esta demarcación católica cuenta con 5 zonas pastorales con sus arciprestes, 64 parroquias, 63 sacerdotes, 38 diáconos, laicos y religiosas.
Con la visión y estrategia de monseñor Ozoria, como arzobispo de Santo Domingo, se trató de una reestructuración de la Arquidiócesis, de modo que su misión evangelizadora y de desarrollo humano alcance a todos los feligreses y ciudadanos de toda esta demarcación geográfica con el nombre de: Vicaría Episcopal Santo Domingo Este.
Entre los objetivos principales de la Vicaría están los siguientes:
· Dar seguimiento a la vida y misión de la iglesia al servicio del Reino de Dios en medio del pueblo que peregrina en ese territorio, promoviendo la corresponsabilidad, la subsidiaridad, la unidad en la pluralidad, comunión y la participación de presbíteros, diáconos, vida consagrada y laicos.
· Responder a las necesidades concretas de ese territorio que surgen del análisis y el discernimiento socio-pastoral de su realidad.
· Implementar la ejecución del Plan Arquidiocesano de Pastoral en sus zonas, parroquias, sectores e instituciones eclesiales para realizar una pastoral integral y orgánica.
