EL PROCURADOR ESTA LISTO PARA TESTIFICAR EN EL CASO DE ODEBRECHT DICE » ME ENCANTARÍA «
El procurador general de la República, Jean Alain Rodríguez, afirmó este jueves que estaría “encantado” de ser citado a declarar en el juicio sobre el caso Odebrecht si así el tribunal lo dispusiera, como lo solicitó uno de los imputados.
“Me encantaría, sinceramente, porque tenemos un expediente fuerte y donde sea que me llamen, ante cualquier escenario, mi compromiso es con la verdad y la justicia y eso es un imputado en un caso muy serio”, expresó.
La defensa del expresidente del Senado Jesús Vásquez (Chu) solicitó en septiembre pasado que Rodríguez, los expresidentes Leonel Fernández e Hipólito Mejía, sean citados a declarar en el caso, alegando que pueden aportar informaciones de mucho valor para el esclarecimiento del caso y la desvinculación de su cliente.
Aunque el procurador dijo que no ha recibido ninguna notificación al respecto lo evaluará en su momento.
“La República Dominicana espera justicia y cuando sea llamando en cualquier momento ahí estaré para poder detallar de manera precisa y oportuna todo lo que tiene ese expediente”, añadió.
Sobre la recusación hecha por la defensa de Vásquez al juez Francisco Ortega Polanco, quien conoce el caso, el jefe del Ministerio Público indicó que espera que pleno de la Suprema Corte de Justicia (SCJ) lo rechace.
“Estoy convencido de que eso será rechazado, ya es la cuarta vez, si fue rechazado tres veces, será seguramente rechazado, y esperamos que continúe el proceso”, puntualizó.
Rodríguez habló en estos términos al dejar entregada la Fiscalía Comunitaria del sector Los Ríos del Distrito Nacional, la cual fue remozada, como parte de un plan de mejora de estas edificaciones.
